Welcome to my website.
I am Tim Larson, a life-long resident of East Hartford and a long-time resident of the 11th Assembly District. Since my graduation from Eastern Connecticut State University in 1981, I have worked to better the East Hartford and South Windsor communities through business, civic and political involvement. My experience, qualifications and accomplishments are detailed within this website.
While each aspect of my community involvement has been rewarding, I am especially proud of the eight years that I served as Mayor of East Hartford. As Mayor, I oversaw eight budgets making certain that annual increases were kept to a minimum and finding enough cost savings to allow the Town’s rainy day fund to increase from $300,000 to $11,000,000. Working with residents and state and local officials, my eight years in office saw the construction of a new Public Safety Complex, the undertaking of a 140 mile town-wide road improvement program, the expansion of the Coca Cola facility on East Hartford’s Main Street and the development of the UCONN football stadium and Cabela’s destination store at Rentschler Field.
Working together, we can continue to identify approaches to tackle the tough problems affecting our state and ensure that East Hartford and South Windsor remain great places to live, work and raise a family.
