I, like you, am a resident of East Hartford. I live here, I work here and I “play” here. What happens with our Town affects me just as it does you.
And we share something else in common…the ability to get involved and make a difference.
“Getting involved” can mean many different things to different people and sometimes it can just mean staying informed so you can make better, more educated decisions. I hope you will take the time to get involved in at least ONE of the ways listed here for you:

Testimonials
Other than voting, I have never been involved in town politics. But Marcia Leclerc has 110% of my support in her run for Mayor. She has worked tirelessly to better our community and while she is not responsible for creating the problems we now face, she has the ability and determination to fix them! Her background and temperament are perfect for the position...it is rare to find someone SO business savvy, yet full of compassion, understanding and polished with people skills. Go, Mayor Marcia!!!

Who better to serve as the Mayor of East Hartford than a life-long resident who has worked tirelessly for her Town in innumerable capacities? Mayor Leclerc’s dedication to the Town of East Hartford has been consistently and loyally displayed throughout the years in her former roles as a Town Councilor and Majority Leader, Chamber of Commerce Board Member, East Hartford School Business Partnership, active member of a multitude of organizations, and myriad of civic contributions. As the current Mayor, she continues to prove she is proficient in the areas of finance, education, commerce, and is profoundly committed to each and every resident’s quality of life. Mayor Leclerc has earned our support. There is no better nominee.

In addition to being the Mayor of East Hartford, I am proud to call Marcia Leclerc my friend. I am extremely proud to say she has my unwaivering support as the current Mayor and Democratic Party nominee. Mayor Marcia Leclerc is a woman I admire for so many reasons: her devoted and selfless service to her community; her business savvy; her forthright and proactive qualities which are so important as a leader; the articulate, insightful, thoughtful and fair demeanor in which she handles the daily affairs and challenges of her office. Knowing my friend, Mayor Marcia Leclerc, I would expect nothing less…nor would she give anything other than her continued and complete dedication and commitment to the office she proudly holds.
- Robert Pasek, East Hartford, CT
In all my years of public service to East Hartford and working directly with seven different mayors, I have never met a person more qualified to lead East Hartford as Mayor than Mayor Marcia Leclerc. Starting with her Town Council experience since 2003, her unique combination of executive experience, business acumen and understanding of the needs of our citizens is unparalleled in our community. She has gained the necessary understanding of the complex town budget and does not need any new learning experience.
Marcia’s ability to work closely with our state delegation to the Capitol, has led to her testifying effectively on many issues, none more importantly than on PILOT MM&E funding. East Hartford stood to lose $3.6 million in state reimbursement in the Governor’s original budget. Her quick action, decisive leadership and relentless lobbying on behalf of East Hartford led to those funds being fully reinstated, ensuring property taxes would not be impacted and services would remain in place. She was credited throughout the state for her leadership and forethought.
I emphatically support Mayor Leclerc as clearly the only choice to continue to serve East Hartford as our Mayor, and enthusiastically look forward to continue working with her during her next term.
